Many moms feel overwhelmed with so much expert advice in the media, but sometimes the media can encourage maternal instinct. Recently a grandmother in Chicago, after watching several reports on lead paint in children’s lunch boxes, decided to test her grandson’s baby bib. She discovered that the bib contained lead 16-times the legal limit. She notified authorities which led to a voluntary recall of bibs. Walmart recalled three styles of "Baby Connection" bibs, made of vinyl front with a cloth backing, or a cloth front with vinyl backing. One would assume that products made for children would be safe, in this case one woman's instinct kept her grandson and other babies safe.
